About

The Gulf Forum on Cyber Security is held in the 4th quarter of 2024 in the State of Qatar, in implementation of the second initiative of the Digital Transformation and Cybersecurity Action Plan. The Forum hosts experts and specialists from GCC countries and international corporations and organizations to share their expertise and experiences in support of the Forum objectives.

The two-day event sheds light on several aspects, including opportunities and challenges of cybersecurity in education, with interest in building competencies, developing the defense aspect of cybersecurity, and developing laws, policies and controls related to this area.

Guidelines

1.1 Conditions for submission of research posters by the representative of the state

  1. The poster must be created by the participating student.
  2. The Poster title must be expressive and concise.
  3. Undergraduate students can only participate with their poster in the forum.
  4. It is possible to participate in the forum with a poster, even if the poster has been presented in another scientific event, as long as it is compatible with the subjects and topics of the forum.
  5. Poster size shall be 100*70, and landscape layout.
  6. The poster background shall be white.
  7. Poster shall contain the forum logo, university logo, the country flag, poster title and author’s name/s

  • Increasing cybersecurity awareness among employees of universities and higher education institutions.
  • Equipping technical professionals in universities and higher education institutions with practical skills in cybersecurity.
Apply to participate with any complete poster, even if such poster was previously shared in other events, provided such poster in line with the Forum’s themes.
Posters should be submitted in English.
One research paper and four (4) research posters for each country.
